Happy New Year!!

Amanda and I barely made it until midnight last night. We watched a couple of movies and ate pizza and spent most of the evening trying to get Joshua to stay asleep in bed. I was literally falling asleep five minutes before midnight and Amanda counted down the last few seconds to me.

The movies we watched were pretty disappointing. They were the Simpson’s Movie and Harry Potter 5. Maybe they would have been better if we didn’t have to pause every 15 minutes to go and get Joshua or get something else to eat. But I think I still wouldn’t have liked them. By this point in the HP series the books are so long that it is hard to make a movie that gets everything pertinent into it. Even if the important things and people are introduced for 5 seconds only, the movie is still way too long and slow – at least for my liking.
